“The participation of Bulgaria in the peacekeeping mission in Lebanon would be evaluated highly, including from Arab countries, because this is a mission accepted by the UN, which would lead to stabilization in the region”, the Bulgarian Foreign Minister Ivaylo Kalfin said during a news conference in the residency of Evksinograd near the coastal town of Varna, a reporter of FOCUS Radio – Varna reported. According to Kalfin the mission would consist not of troops, maintaining peace between enemy countries, but of troops, maintaining a zone free of hostilities. Kalfin, however, said that this did not exclude risks for the participants in the mission.
